Riders

You're already riding across Leicester. Get paid for it twice.

A screen fits to your delivery bag and shows adverts while you do your normal deliveries. Nothing about your job changes, and you get paid every week for the time the screen is actually on.

What it is

A screen on your bag. That's the whole thing.

AdRide puts LED screens on the delivery bags of riders working in Leicester. Local businesses pay to have their advert on those screens. You carry one while you are out doing the deliveries you were already doing, and we pay you for the hours it was on.

You do not work for us. You work for whoever you already work for — Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, all three, whatever your week looks like. Carrying the screen is something you opt into on top of that, and you can stop whenever you want.

No extra hours. No detours. No app to babysit while you ride.

What you get paid

[NEEDS FIGURE: rider payment rate]

per week

Paid weekly, straight to your bank account, for verified screen-on time — the hours the screen was confirmed powered and playing. Not for having the bag in your hallway. The more you are actually out riding with it on, the more you are paid.

What you do

Three things, and one of them is charging it.

  1. 01

    Fit it once

The screen attaches to your delivery bag. We set it up with you the first time.

  2. 02

    Ride as normal

Nothing changes about how you work. No app to open, no routes to follow, no extra stops.

  3. 03

    Charge it overnight

Plug it in when you finish, like your phone. It syncs over wifi while you sleep — new adverts down, your screen-on time up.

What you need

What's required to join

An insulated delivery bag that meets your platform’s rules

We provide the bag or the attachment, and it is built to meet Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat’s own bag requirements — insulated, the right size, no branding that conflicts with theirs. If you ride for more than one platform, the same kit works for all of them.

A working smartphone

Just for setting the unit up and getting support. You do not need to keep an app open or do anything on your phone while you are riding.

Wifi where you charge

The unit syncs once a day over wifi — at home, or wherever you plug it in overnight. That is how it picks up new adverts and sends back its screen-on time.

There is nothing to pay to join. The bag and the screen are provided. [NEEDS FIGURE: deposit or kit charge, if any]

Questions

The things riders actually ask

Will this cause a problem with my Uber Eats, Deliveroo or Just Eat account?

It should not. The bag we provide is built to meet all three platforms’ own bag requirements — correct insulation and size, and no branding that conflicts with theirs. You stay an independent courier working for whoever you already work for; AdRide has no relationship with those platforms and does not touch your account. If your platform has a specific rule you are unsure about, ask us before you sign up and we will go through it with you.

Do I have to do anything during my shift?

No. Fit the bag, ride, and that is it. The screen runs on its own and reports on its own. You never have to open an app, change an advert, or go anywhere you would not have gone anyway.

Does it tell you where I am?

The unit records the routes it travels, because advertisers are paying for verified coverage and we will not report numbers we cannot prove. That data is used for campaign reporting and your payment — we are not sharing your movements with the delivery platforms. The detail of what is collected and how long it is kept is set out in our privacy policy.

Am I employed by AdRide?

No. You are an independent rider who already works for one or more delivery platforms, and you are opting in to carry a screen. We are not your employer and we do not give you shifts, hours or delivery work. You ride when you ride.

What if the bag or screen breaks?

Contact support and we will arrange a replacement. Normal wear and tear and faults are on us — you will not be charged for a unit that stopped working on its own. Loss or deliberate damage is handled differently and is set out in the rider terms. [NEEDS FIGURE: replacement turnaround time].

How do I get paid?

Weekly, straight to your bank account, based on your verified screen-on time for that week. You can see your own hours in your rider account, so the number you are paid against is never a mystery.

What if I am off for a week, or stop riding?

Nothing bad happens — you are paid for the time the screen was actually on, so a quiet week just means a smaller payment. If you want to stop altogether, tell us and return the kit. There is no notice period and no penalty.

Does it slow me down or get in the way?

It is fitted to the bag you are already carrying and adds weight — we are straight about that. [NEEDS FIGURE: unit weight]. Come and see one before you commit; we would rather you try it than find out afterwards it is not for you.
